Cancun Weather

Cancun is one of the most well known tropical destinations in the world. Because Cancun is located just below the Tropic of Cancer, it is blessed with warm and pleasant weather all year long. The average temperature in Cancun and its environs is about 73°F, which usually happens during the winter in the area. But Cancun weather during the summer sees an average temperature of 80°F. The summer is also the driest season in Cancun, so don’t expect to see clouds or rain in the area.

As a tropical destination, Cancun experiences some rainy days all year round. The highest temperatures are experienced from May to October, while the lowest temperatures appear from November to January. Since Cancun is located just above the Tropic of Cancer, there is an optimum climate within the area. Even during the winter months, the temperature during the day rarely drops below 38°F, while the nights can go colder than 25°F.

Because of the   weather, nearly anytime is the best time to visit Cancun. The best times to make reservations are during the weekdays from Monday through Saturday. If you are traveling during the weekdays, you can get the best airfares. On the other hand, during the weekends, weekend weather can be unpredict ably cold.

For resorts and restaurants, the best months to open shop are from November to February. This is the dry season in Cancun, so you will avoid the raging rivers in April and May. The other factor that affects restaurant prices is the season. May and November are considered the high season, while February is considered low season.

Also, avoid vacations during the summer months as vacations in Cancun can become unbearable heat. The average temperature is about 85°F, while in July it is about 75°F. Also avoid the months of September and October, as vacationing in these months can result in heat stroke and humidity levels that are often unbearably high.

Getting to Cancun

Either plane, taxi, or luxury bus ( depending on your budget) are your methods of transport to Cancun. The cheapest way to arrive at Cancun is by way of Air Mauritius. A ticket costs around $50, booking online is a little more expensive.

If you have a commercial visa, you can fly in via another African country. If you are not a Donkey, you can fly in by plane withadeluaat an added cost. A non-refundable deposit is usually required at booking time, so make sure you agree on the schedule and flight details before you agree to fly.

If you’re not sure whether you’ll be requiring a visa to enter Brazil, check with the Brazilian consulate in your home country. You may be allowed to enter Brazil with a tourist visa, provided you apply and are granted the visa when you arrive in Brazil. Some countries, such as Japan and Thailand, are not considered visa-friendly.

Once in Brazil, unless you are going to study in Brazil, you will need to get a bus or rent a car, a car is almost always cheaper. If you are going to study in Brazil, it is recommended that you find an affordable way of transport, whether it is a bus or a rental car.

The cheapest way of getting around in Brazil is by public bus. Rides are available for any distance from the main cities of Rio and Sao Janeiro to the outlying villages and a lot of the frontier areas. The fare doesn’t vary, but you get a lot for your money. A journey from Ipanema to Rio, for example, would be about $50 US. If you stop at a school or at the beach, make sure you take a ride on the bus as the adults will be more willing to pay. You can also take a mini-van taxi, and these are good if you want to have a ride without worrying about the price, as long as you follow the route and get a booking at the same time. Mini-trains are popular and can be found in several of the towns.

Cheap dining is easy to find if you follow the locals. Many restaurants and coffee shops offer a modified version of Continental menus. Instead of having a regular meal, you get a cheese pastry and a drink. If you order bread, bread is inexpensive as it is simply toasted. If you order soup, bread is the preferred choice as it is inexpensive. Another option is to have a baguette for lunch on the run. This is primarily a lunch meal, but you can get something really nice with a bit of lunch downtime.

Instead of malls and artificial environments, try to find an open site, preferably near a major thoroughfare. This will enable you to take advantage of the people-watching that happens just about anywhere.
